If you buy a mobile phone made by Samsung this year (why the hell would you?) then there’s a greater than 50% chance that it will have been made in China. Now for many people, where a device is made isn’t really important. For other people, it is.
A friend of mine is going back home, to Pakistan, next week, and his friends and family asked him to bring some Nokia devices. Despite the fact that the same models are most likely cheaper in Pakistan due to tax reasons, they still want Nokia devices from Finland because they think that they’re “Made in Finland”.
People are nuts.
