Just a quick little factoid for those of you who are interested in forward looking projections, and numbers in general: Cher Wang, Chairperson of HTC and Co-Founder, recently said that by 2013 40% of handsets sold will be smartphones.
That sounds about right. As much as Nokia wants to get rid of S30 and S40 in the low end, there’s still a huge market for sub $25 phones. That class of device has a long way to go before it gets “smart” with a large screen, GPS, and all that jazz.
