“The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.”
That’s the phrase you have to type via a mobile phone to set a Guiness World Record. Samsung, together with Swype, have set the new fastest speed: 35.54 seconds. They use the recording of said world record attempt as a commercial. Smart, but really, after using Swype for several weeks now, I find that it’s high learning curve isn’t improving my speed at all. I’d rather hunt and peck on Android’s native keyboard, and I terribly miss my Nokia E71’s physical keyboard, but you do what you got to do to be able to carry 800 x 480 pixels in your right front pocket.
Apple iPhone owners swear by their touch screen keyboard, so is anyone man enough to challenge Swype and get Apple in the record books? Or how about you CrackBerry folks? I’m sure one of you can type that in your sleep at over 100 words per minute.
