AT&T took some time at CTIA 2010 Las Vegas to show off their new U-verse TV iPhone app. Big Blue demonstrated the streaming, DVR managing, and TV schedule browsing features of the iPhone app – allowing iPhone users to check TV schedules on the road, schedule DVR recordings, and even download and watch TV directly on the iPhone! The Uverse TV iPhone app is the first of its kind, and is aimed at bringing the TV screen to the mobile screen.

TV show downloads only work over WiFi at the moment, but you can watch the shows without a data connection once it’s on the device. The free app looks pretty slick and should be a must-have for U-verse subscribers. It’s expected to hit the App Store later this year and we’ll give you an update when we have more concrete release details.
