Opera counting the time it takes until Opera Mini is approved by Apple to go into the App Store

Opera has some serious balls, and judging by people’s reactions to the video they posted yesterday of Opera Mini running on the iPhone, we know where they’ve found this immense source of confidence. Their product is spectacular, but they can’t offer it to consumers without the thumbs up or thumbs down from Steve Jobs and his band of goons. They control what goes into the App Store, and Opera, to further mock the process of approval that the entire internet has already done a fantastic job of doing, has just posted a clock showing the amount of time that has transpired since they submitted their application for admission.

What will Opera do if Apple says no is a question I’m really looking forward seeing the answer to. Will they bring Apple to court? Will the FCC step in? Will more public developers curse at Apple and openly admit to moving their efforts to the Android platform?

This is pure schadenfreude for me.
