Hooray! Color me excited, but the HTC Desire, a contender for ‘best device of 2010′ is going to be officially available in the UK from Monday (29th), in T-Mobile stores! In actual fact, the HTC superphone must already be distributed in volume around stores, and theoretically be in the postal system now, winging it’s way to people who pre-ordered, for Monday!
I’m not going to go in to loads of detail regarding the Desire – in fact, far from it – we’ve covered it LOADS since it’s inception – but sells the device to me is that this is arguably going to be the best realisation of the Android OS (the standard OS, plus the ‘Sense UI’ polish that HTC applies) to-date, and possibly the thing that tips me away from running an iPhone.
Anyway, enough blabbering, if you want to get your mitts on of these bad boys, head to a T-Mobile UK store on Monday, and pray that they still have some left in when you arrive – I think it’s going to be a big seller for them, particularly because they have some great tariffs – which you can check out here.

when SMS was a still a relatively new concept for most people (!), he has
now consulted on everything from bleeding-edge Mobile content, to the
next-gen accessories you might view it on. As a result he has a broad and deep knowledge in numerous areas of Mobile – from network operators to device vendors, to infrastructure and middleware vendors (not to mention content delivery) – and has worked for companies in all of these areas!
He is based in the UK, a hotbed of activity for mobile, and recently
became a father for the second time – as oppose to in his younger years
when he was happy spend time tweaking all manner of mobile devices to
'nth' degree, he now looks for services and hardware that provide the most efficient, compact, and reliable improvements to his already manic life! It’s his opinion that Mobile solutions should be there to help to make
your life better – if a particular solution (be it service or device)
isn’t doing this, he believes you need to ask the very important question
of why you continue to use it...
His focus at IntoMobile is mainly on Mobile content, services, and
infrastructure, particularly as regards the UK market – and with the
occasional look at devices. Additionally, using his extensive experience
in the industry, he will provide commentary on the industry at large, with
regular (and hopefully thought-provoking) articles.

The desire won’t be in the running for “best device of 2010″. The Evo is going to blow it completely out of the water.

What’s your point? The device that comes after the EVO 4G will blow that out of the water, and the device after that will…
It does look nicer than the desire tho, but you can waste your life away waiting for the next big thing to come along.
