Nexus One Car Dock now available

The Nexus One  has few accessories available for it. So far, the only accessories you can buy for the device are the Desktop Dock, a spare battery, and a couple of cases that you can now find in your local T-Mobile store. But now it seems like the car dock has been added to the limited selection. This could be quite a big deal for someone who uses the Google Navigator a lot.

The new dock will set you back $55, which isn’t too bad considering the TomTom car dock for the iPhone is $119.95. The new car dock for the N1 has built-in speakers, as well as a volume control right on it. The holder also rotates so the user can change the orientation to their preference. Also, as expected, the car dock charges your Nexus One as well, given you have it plugged into your car’s 12V utility socket.

For some who have been waiting for this, your wishes have come true. I am no driver, so I am a little less enthused about this, but I’m glad to see that the Nexus One is getting more accessories. It’s a great device, but frankly, at this point, I’m ready for the Nexus Two. Anyone Else?
