Don’t know about you, but I used to spend hours and hours playing LucasArts’ point and click adventure games. The first two parts of the Secrets of the Monkey Island probably took the best days of my childhood and I don’t regret for a second. ;)

As you know, the first part is already in the AppStore and the sequel is coming, too. The official name of the game, if you remember, was Secret of the Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge.

But the story doesn’t end there. Instead of simply porting the game to Apple’s platform, good folks of LucasArts decided to enhance the graphics, as you’re about to see from the comparison screenshots. The game looks much better, and honestly, I can’t wait to give it a try. Now that I’m thinking, I believe I just found a solid use case for the iPad – playing the good ol’ point and click adventures on a larger screen makes perfect sense to me. All that’s left is waiting for the iPad to be released in Europe. :(

Before I let you go to enjoy the screenshots, I should also mention that if you want more (and if you’re a fan – you do), make sure to follow LucasArts on Facebook.
