Parkmobile is yet again extending its somewhat complicated to use mobile parking payment service to eight Lanier Parking Solutions lots located in downtown and midtown Atlanta. It’s complicated because it requires that you register before using the service. Still if you’ve already paid parking with Parkmobile in the past, that shouldn’t impact you — you already have an account.

On the other hand, if you don’t have an account, you can register either by calling toll-free number 877-PARK-714 or from Parkmobile’s website. As part of the registration process, you can also select the option to receive SMS alerts and reminders fifteen minutes before the parking time expires.

Finally, this is not Parkmobile’s first implementation in the Atlanta area — at the moment their service can be used at all on-street metered parking in Atlantic Station.

And if you own an iPhone, you may want to grab Parkmobile’s dedicated application from the AppStore — you can use it to more easily manage all your parking payments, even if you own (or drive) more than a single vehicle.

It’s not complicated at all to use. Any service you use that requires a credit card is a pain to type in, but you have to do otherwise the information will not be stored. Once i registered my profile and credit card, I was able to successfully park in Atlantic station. I think its pretty cool.
