In keeping with the proposed launch date, XM Radio Online+ for BlackBerry is now available for all Canadians. The new streaming radio app is free to download, and comes with a 14 day free trial to let you ‘try before you buy’. After the trial you’ll need to activate an XM Canada subscription. Sign up for $7.99 per month or, if you’re already an XM subscriber you pay only $2.99 per month for mobile-only access.

Key features of XM Online+ for BlackBerry:

  • Works over 3G or WiFi
  • Send and receive emails, texts while the app is playing in the background
  • Get the latest financial and business news on the go
  • Browse what’s playing on other channels with song name and title display
  • Create and store a list of your favourite channels for easy access

The new app is said to be compatible with all devices 85xx and up, so all current gen BlackBerry devices are good to go (including the Storm series).
