After much ado, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is now available at Rogers for $149.99 on contract.  The 8 megapixel camera, 4″ WVGA display, and 1 Ghz certainly make the X10 a contender for the affections of phone shoppers. It’s running Android, so there’s a wealth of applications and tinkering to be enjoyed, and unique to the device are custom Timescape and Mediascape applications for cruising contact and multimedia, respectively.

I’ve actually been using the X10 for the last week or so, and though the hardware is bxoth smooth and sharp, I would wait for the first software update (possibly with Android 2.1) to pick this one up. The virtual keyboard is a pain to use, and Timescape and Mediascape, though pretty, are finnicky to use and of questionable practicality. A full review is on the way from one of our resident Android experts, so stay tuned.  To go ahead and order the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, hit up the Rogers online store.
