iPad + Microwave = Most annoying video ever (with a surprise ending)

We’ve seen all manner of Apple products meeting their demise at the hands of over-eager malcontents with bats and blenders and shotguns. But, this is the first time we’ve ever seen a gadget facing certain doom from a microwave oven. We are shown an iPad being cooked with microwaves, which we all know don’t play well with metallic objects – like the aluminum unibody on the iPad. Unfortunately, the video you see here forces you to endure a few minutes’ worth of an annoying voice-over and incredibly crappy audio quality.

Still, it’s worth watching, if just to see what happens to an iPad when you throw it in a microwave and flip the switch. What’s surprising is that the iPad doesn’t give us a firework shower of sparks inside the microwave. It just sits there, cooking and steaming, until it finally sparks and bursts into flames. It’s actually sadistically mesmerizing in a way. Just make sure you watch through to the end of the video. The iPad somehow manages to… well, you should just watch the video.

One word of caution, we’d turn down to volume on our speakers before hitting the play button, lest you want to listen to the grating voice and the speaker-destroying audio quality (or lack thereof) of the video.
