Popular city guide buzzd got a major update – buzzd v3 now aggregates check-ins from popular social networks like Twitter, Foursquare, Gowalla, Yelp, BrightKite, Loopt and others; giving users a complete view what’s going on in the city in real time!

In addition, there are also other improvements such as:

  • Improved “buzzdmeter,” which now tracks the most popular venues (aka “buzzing places”) from the aforementioned social networks over the last 6 hours.
  • Ability to find Facebook friends and Twitter followers on buzzd as well as to post your buzzd ratings to their Facebook wall and/or Twitter feed.
  • New “Feed” section that shows what your friends are up to
  • A complete redesign of the application’s interface
  • Ability to bookmark venues for easy access at some later point (iPhone only)
  • Earn real-world rewards like flights, concert tickets and more on “Influential Leaderboard” by broadcasting your ratings of venues to friends (iPhone only)

buzzd v3 is available for the iPhone and BlackBerry users and can be downloaded free of charge from the two links below. But before you grab the app, make sure to check out a short video demoing the latest version in action. That’s after the jump, as you know…
