Building upon the successes of the iPhone app and version 1.0 of their iPad app, Newsy has announced version 2.0 for iPad. If you’ve never heard of it before, Newsy is a ‘multisource video news service’… The short of it? They deliver timely news videos to you on current and breaking news all around the world. The videos are short (2 to 3 minutes each), allowing you to take-in the latest news with speedy convenience.
This update has taken many suggestions from regular users into consideration. New features include:
- download videos for play offline in standard and high quality
- playlists save automatically
- last 20 stories are available for easy scrolling in both landscape and portrait mode

Version 2.0 enhances mobile video news experience with new features recommended by users
Columbia, MO – June 6, 2010 – Newsy, a multisource video news service producing daily videos for mobile devices and the web, today debuted an advanced new version of its free iPad app. The iPad app is ranked #10 for top free news apps and ranked #3 for top free news apps for the iPad in the iTunes App Store.
The new version of the app, based on suggestions from users, is built specifically to maximize the features of the Apple iPad.
