Sprint is moving forward with WiMax/4G coverage as new products are getting launched. Just this morning, the Samsung Epic 4G, a variant of the Galaxy S, was announced for Sprint’s network. To help get customers more excited about the new 4G devices, and in order to get more of them to take advantage of everything they have to offer, Sprint is rapidly continuing with its WiMax expansion. Today, the carrier announced that Richmond, VA, Salt Lake City and St. Louis are both live with 4G action.
If only WiMax was live in some of the cities I visit most, but Sprint has been testing in those areas and says that it will go live soon. “In 2010, Sprint expects to launch 4G service in multiple markets, including Boston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.,” says Sprint.
Has your city recently gone live with Sprint 4G/WiMax? If so, how have you liked it so far?
