A new mobile collaboration app called Huddle launched on BlackBerry today. It’s geared primarily towards SMBs who have a particular workflow they want to manage, especially when there are workers who move around a lot. It includes task workflow, whiteboard brainstorming, access to files, and discussion participation.

A web-based dashboard is where most of the magic happens, which can be handy for staying flexible, but as with any cloud-based solution, there’s always trepidation about downtime. Between the web component, the mobile app, and the Microsoft Office plug-in, Huddle seems like it could be truly ubiquitous in an enterprise setting.

The free version for BlackBerry offers quite a bit, but holds back on participating in discussions, marking task status, and file uploading – you gotta grab the $5.99 premium version for that. Additionally, you’ll need to sign up for the subscription service, which ranges from $8 to $200 and up per month, depending on scale.
