After seeing the older BlackBerry Bold 9700 run OS 6 just dandy, we could only assume the updated 9780 would be just as well, and here’s a little video proving it.The video mostly goes through application management, and a few screenshots confirm the the camera quality. Take a looksee at our tour of OS 6 to see what’s new – universal search is the main thing.

The Bold 9780 is probably coming out in October on AT&T, and will have the same ol’ 624 MHz processor, 2.4″ HVGA display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 1500 mAh battery, and buttoned-down QWERTY candybar form factor of the 9700, but crank up the app memory to 512 MB and bump up the camera from 3.2 megapixels to 5. A fairly small incremental upgrade, given the 9700 is getting OS 6 too, but the 9780 should still attract those who want a traditional, top-of-the line BlackBerry. If you’d like to see more of the 9780 in action, it looks like the last video hasn’t been taken down yet.
