iStethoscope app can monitor your heartbeat!

You know there are tons of sensors under the iPhone’s hood (and under the hood of many of today’s smartphones for that matter), and you’ve probably seen some sport tracking apps taking advantage of that. How about something “more medical?” iStethoscope fits in that category (though it primarily uses the microphone), allowing you to listen to your heatbeat and see your heart waveform (or listen to other quiet sounds around you).

Because of the surrounding noise, it’s not as easy as one would think. You cannot place the microphone wherever you want and expect to hear your heart – you must place it very accurately to hear your heart.

For best results it’s advised that you use good quality headphones and to place the iPhone directly against the skin, not through a shirt. Moreover, if you have a protective case, make sure you’re not “using it” with iStethoscope.

If everything’s on place, you’re ready to go. AppStore link is below.
