Nokia Ovi Services Are Blowing Up, Download Numbers Growing

Nokia is really pushing its Ovi services and the download and usage numbers are reflecting that. To date, 200,000 new users sign up every day, Ovi Store downloads average 2.3 million per day and 70 developers have exceeded the one million download mark. Not too shabby for the platform, and one would have to assume that it’s going to grow as Nokia has basically been throwing cash at developers with contests and incentives.

More developers and publishers are flocking to the platform, and some pretty big names like Electronic Arts and Gameloft, too. This is good news for the Nokia faithful who have been watching on with envy as iOS and Android users enjoy quality apps.

The Ovi Market and Ovi Maps are constantly being improved, with new features and better usability as months go by, so if you’re a die-hard Nokia fan you’ll have a lot to look forward to — though probably not as much as looking forward to MeeGo now that it’s in Peter Skillman’s hands.

This is a lie. I have tried Symbian and it’s clunky and slow and very buggy.

No support for US/Canadian customers either.

Even Symbian-guru.com has left the Symbian platform.

    Bye bye Nokia, you’re FINNiSHED!

Symbian-guru.com was and has always been an attention whore and when he discovered Nokia didn’t care for his ambitions, he simply stopped whining with his last gigantic whine. So what?
