CheckPoints, the application/service we’ve already talked about in the past, is now available to the army of iPhone and iPod Touch users across the U.S.

If you’re in the targeted group (i.e. iOS device ownin’ guy/gal living and/or working in the U.S.) and dig the idea of check-in services like Gowalla and Foursquare, there’s really no good reason why not to install CheckPoints. After all, it’s the only such service that brings real-life benefits to the users.

As you may know, CheckPoints rewards consumers for “checking in” to stores and “checking out” featured products in over one million retail locations across America. As a shopper, you can instantly redeem your points for gift cards, airline miles, gadgets or charitable donations, if you fancy so. In addition, there’s the exclusive content like coupons, games and recipes waiting to be unlocked. Best of all, no purchase is necessary!

Among the brands that signed-up right from the start, we find such names as Belkin, Energizer, Seventh Generation, Tyson Foods and many others.

Finally, it’s worth adding that all users will receive bonus rewards points for signing up before October 31. So hurry up! :)
