You may remember we’ve been talking about Blyk for few times in the past. The youth oriented service was launched in few European markets, rewarding its customers with free content, text messages and voice calls. And now Aircel wants to replicate that model in India…

Launched under the “Blyk on Aircel” brand, the service wants to reach the largest youth market in the world, with over half of the country’s population comprising of young people. Similarly to its EU operations, 16-29 year olds who opt for Blyk in India can also “earn” mobile content and free services by receiving and responding to ads.

Users will be sent content by way of messages, both SMS and MMS, across categories like entertainment, sports, lifestyle comprising travel, fashion, wellness, gadgets and other activities such as city specific events, dating & relationships tips, comics and careers advice. As users respond to the content and indicate their preferences, after a period of 6-8 weeks, they are then sent content from their areas of interest… And you can get more information from Aircel’s website.
