Sprint is hosting an event tonight in New York City with moderate hype – we’ll apparently be seeing something there that is considered an “industry first.” Right now, we’re hearing that the Kyocera Echo, a dual-screen Android smartphone, will be unveiled at the event. The Echo will have two 3.5-inch touchscreen displays, hence its name, and users will be able to drag content from one screen to another.
PhoneScoop reports, “The Echo has a pivot hinge which will also allow one screen to be tucked underneath the other, giving it a more mainstream smartphone appearance.”
Well that’s all nifty and all, but please oh please let there be more to this event than a dual-screen Android phone.
There aren’t too many details on the Kyocera Echo right now. In fact, all I have from recollection is its logo that we saw a few weeks ago. And that didn’t come with accompanying details, either. Hopefully we’ll know more tonight, so be sure to stay tuned and follow our live coverage!
