RadioShack is riding the tablet wave, big time. Already the electronics retailer is offering the Apple iPad and now they’ve added three additional products – RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook, Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi and Velocity Micro T103 Cruz.
The first of the three, which Simon reviewed a few days ago, is available for $499, the Xoom for $100 more (it’s on pre-order at the moment), while the entry-level Micro T103 Cruz could be yours for $199.99. All three products are already visible on RadioShack’s website though the Xoom is still not available while Velocity’s baby can only be bought in a store.
As you may know, you don’t have to pay the full price of a tablet to get one. You could take advantage of the Shack’s Trade & Save program to trade in used electronic devices and save some cash along the way.
Commenting on the news, RadioShack’s Scott Young said: “Customer preferences for tablet purchases are lifestyle-driven, as they are for other important mobility decisions. That’s why we’re adding to our assortment by offering our customers a broader selection of tablets with a range of comfortable sizes, exciting features, popular operating systems and aggressive prices…”
