As more and more companies launch or at least announce their Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets, Samsung simply gotta make its Galaxy Tab more affordable. And that’s what they’ve started doing with Australia being one of the first markets to get Sammy’s Android-powered tablet for less.

The Tab is now available from JB Hi-Fi (though I couldn’t find it on their website) and Telstra for AU$299, which is about $321. And this is not a Wi-Fi only version of the device, but the one that can sing along 3G networks! Talk about the deal.

If you’re interested you better hurry, cause this offer expires on May 3rd.

On the other hand you should know Sammy’s tablet is powered by Android 2.2 and most likely won’t get Android 3.0 Honeycomb ever. That, however, doesn’t mean you won’t be able to make it run the latest version of Google’s mobile OS if you can hack your way around…
