Expansys offers Wi-Fi-only HTC Flyer for 479.99 GBP [Outrageous or what?]

Want to grab yourself the HTC Flyer without 3G data? You may think $400 would be enough, but you would be sooo wrong. Expansys UK is offering such a device for whopping 479.99 GBP, which is an equivalent of $785. That’s way, way, way (add as many “ways” as you want here) too much for a tablet with a single-core processor. In comparison, we’re talking about the same money that could get you the Motorola Xoom or Apple iPad.

I assume it’s Expansys rather than HTC to blame. They “just” want to rob the super-eager early adopters who can’t wait for the wider availability of the Flyer when it will also be available with carrier contracts.

I’m not going to be the one to judge you. If you just can’t help it – hit this link, pre-order yourself HTC’s first Android tablet and get the early-adopter bragging rights with the purchase. If you think that’s worth it – just do it. 😉
