We’re not sure whether we should put this under “Hot Deals” or not. The price is right, but the quality seems spotty, to say the least. The problem is that we’ve never heard of Tabtech products and we do follow the industry news.

If that doesn’t bother you and you want a cheap (in every sense of the word) Android tablet, maybe Tabtech M009S is the right product for you. It comes with a 7-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) resistive touchscreen, VGA camera, Wi-Fi connectivity, 256MB of RAM, 2GB of built-in storage, Flash Player support and stylus for getting around that touchscreen. All this could be yours for 75.99 GBP (about $123), presuming you live or work in the UK.

There’s one more problem, though. The screenshot we have shows a Chinese menu and we can only hope you will be able to turn the interface to English or some other language.

So what do you say? Willing to “sacrifice” 76 pounds to give Tabtech M009S a try? Here’s a link to the Amazon UK’s page where you can do that.

I bought one of these and have tested it.  It is excellent quality and I would have paid double for it and still be happy with it.

It is fairly quick, and has several built in features.

The tablet comes with English menus etc and Android Market too – total bargain !

The screenshot has been copied from the Eken M009Sm upon which the tablet is based. THe seller loads a custom firmware that removes all the chinese bloatware and makes it a good 300% better.

Great ebook reader, Angry birds and Kindle pre-installed – whats not to like ? lol

I bought this last week, and am still struggling to get the apps market working – following an early software crash I had to install upgrades, and now do not have much of the preloaded stuff.  Does anyone know who can help a relative non-techy sort this out?
