HTC EVO 3D landing at Radio Shack on June 24th

We’ve been hearing that the HTC EVO 3D for Sprint would be landing sometime this month, but it looks like June 4th won’t be the date.  Radio Shack has gone live with a pre-order of the handset and you can walk into a store on the 24th and pick one up for yourself.

One of the first glasses-free 3D phone to land in the US, the EVO 3D is a powerful handset with bells and whistles up the wazoo. Featuring a 4.3 inch qHD glasses-free 3D display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, two 5 megapixel cameras for 2D and 3D video and photo capture, 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, mobile hotspot, 1GB of RAM, WiMAX support, and Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.0. While 3D may be terribly gimmicky at the moment, HTC has provided a solid feature set that would make the EVO 3D desirable even without the extra dimension.

While we question whether if people truly want a 3D phone in their pockets, there’s no question about the EVO 3D’s popularity already. The EVO 4G was a very popular handset when it debuted last year, and now that the EVO name is embedded into the US’ consciousness, many people who never jumped on board with the first EVO may look to the sequel to see what the fuss is all about.

Available for pre-order starting today, if you’re dead set on grabbing the EVO 3D without waiting in line for the thing, you may want to pull the trigger today at Radio Shack. The EVO 3D may be facing some stiff competition, but we doubt that this will hinder the sales of the powerful phone.

Is anyone looking to pick up the EVO 3D when it lands, or are you looking into the Thrill 4G for AT&T to get your 3D fix?
