T-Mobile UK’s Motorola Defy getting the Android 2.2 Froyo update at the beginning of July

Although many Motorola Defy owners in the UK already got their Android 2.2 Froyo updates, those who bought the device from the local branch of T-Mobile didn’t. I’m not sure why that’s the case, but whatever the reason behind this move is – it’s good to know things are turning around and that soon enough — beginning of July — Defy owners on T-Mobile UK’s network will get their Froyo fix, too.

As you probably know, Android 2.2 brings tons of new features when compared to its predecessor – Android 2.1 Éclair. Among the things included in this release are faster browser, ability to install apps on an SD card, Adobe Flash support, Microsoft Exchange accounts, app auto-updating and a whole lot more. In other words, presuming you’re in the “affected” group – the second the update is released you should “push the button.” If you’re lucky enough, you’ll be able to update as soon as this upcoming weekend…
