Though it was mentioned yesterday, today there’s even more evidence that points to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus being released on December 9th. The picture you see above not only shows the Galaxy Nexus being released this Friday but the Motorola Droid 4 set to be released on December 8th.
With Galaxy Nexus phones already arriving in Verizon stores and the December 9th date already floating around, the screen above should come as a sigh of relief. The handset seen is fair share of “unofficial” delays and we’re glad to see that the Galaxy Nexus will soon be available in the US.
Also shown in the screen above is the Droid 4, which looks like it will drop this Thursday. The Droid 4 looks like the best version of the handset to date, sporting a gorgeous keyboard and powerful innards to boot. If you’re not completely sold on the Galaxy Nexus and/or want a physical keyboard, you should turn your attention to this phone. That said, pretty much any phone being released near the Galaxy Nexus will likely be overshadowed.
We walked away pretty impressed with the GSM variant of the Galaxy Nexus and the fact that Verizon’s version will sport LTE may concern some people when it comes to battery life, and rightfully so. The large display alone can drain the battery dramatically and LTE is notorious for being the death of many batteries. We can only hope that the bigger battery will prove to be more efficient than other LTE devices Verizon has released before.
Here’s to Verizon getting the Samsung Galaxy Nexus out before 2012! Ready to shell out $300?
