Motorola released an update for its super-thin RAZR smartphone in Europe. No it won’t bring Ice Cream Sandwich to your device; rather software version 651.73.30 includes several improvements and adds a new app – Evernote (which is my personal favorite note-taking tool). Here’s what else is included in this release:

  • General improvements to camera performance
  • New Smart Rule Trigger – ‘Motion Detection’
  • Added new security features in the Google Android release
  • Improvements on call performance and Bluetooth connectivity
  • Localization improvements
  • General improvements to Wi-Fi connectivity

So what are you waiting for? Fully charge your DROID, connect it to a fast Wi-Fi hotspot and check for software updates. Then patiently wait for the process to end when you’ll have all of the benefits listed above. Good luck! ;)

Finally before I let you go I must praise Motorola for pushing updates faster. Hopefully this trend will continue with all of their smartphones and tablets, not just the high-end models…
