Canadian Telus announced the availability of the 8107 update for two of its Windows Phone devices – HTC 7 Surround and LG Optimus 7. The carrier prepared a support page advising users to “push the button” and solve the annoying “disappearing keyboard” bug, while fixing some of the other issues as well.
In order to proceed, you should connect your Windows Phone device to a computer (via USB cable), and fire-up the Zune software. From there, you can check for updates, and make sure you’re running the latest firmware by following the on-screen procedure. It’s a pretty seamless update, though as usual, we advise you to backup your data before proceeding just in case (God forbid) something goes wrong. Good luck.
