Canadian TELUS will soon join the LTE race, at the moment dominated by Rogers and Bell, both of which have been rushing to be the “first” LTE network in various provinces of Canada.

According to leaked document MobileSyrup got, TELUS will start offering LTE-enabled SIM cards version 3 starting on February 1st. The specific wording used in the mentioned document goes like this:

A V3 SIM is mandatory for use with all upcoming LTE devices. The current V2 SIM will not allow access to TELUS’ 4G LTE network. Only the V3 SIM should be used for LTE devices effective February 1, 2012.

Of course, existing HSPA+ network will also be supported with V3 SIM cards.

As for the compatible devices, TELUS will be offering the Samsung Galaxy Note LTE and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. Hopefully, the coverage map will be released shortly, as well…
