Windows Phone is moving forward with the day. Just recently we caught the Carbon app hitting the Windows Phone Marketplace, from where users can get it for $1.99. You may think that’s a lot of money for a Twitter client by today’s standards; but if you want the best Twitter experience on your WinPho smartphone – you better get Carbon. After all, you don’t have a ton of options, after all.

If you recall, Carbon was a popular webOS app, though its UI is now fine-tuned for Microsoft’s Metro interface. It comes with support for multiple Twitter accounts, inline picture viewing, a plethora of configurable Live Tiles (like Mentions and DMs), and a number of other features savvy Twitter users will appreciate.

On the downside though, the application lacks push notifications, but that’s something the forthcoming app update will bring along with inline video and performance improvements. Moreover, free trial version will also be released soon for folks who like to try apps before committing their hard earned dollars and cents…
