The folks over at Storify have released a neat iPad app which enables you to tap into social media sources to quickly and easily tell rich, full stories. I think it’s a really cool service and you can see it in action in this post, “What’s your favorite Samsung device?

The basic appeal of Storify is a powerful one: We are all creating fun stuff on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other social media sources but it’s tough to find a way to actually pull these together in a simple way. The Storify service lets you easily search through your or other people’s public Twitter feeds, Facebook and others to draw in sentiment around certain topics.

On the Storify iPad app, you simply drag and drop the quotes, pictures or videos that you want to add to a story. Hitting the publish buttons makes it live on the web and it’s relatively easy to embed these in your website. I’ve put a quick story in below using the Storify iPad app and my only real complaints are that the embedded story takes a bit to load.

You can download the Storify iPad app here (iTunes link) and check out this video the company put together about the program.
