LG has announced that three of its phones — including the Optimus LTE, Optimus LTE Tag and Optimus Vu — will be getting their servings of Ice Cream Sandwich starting from June 4th.

Aside from the latest version of Android, this trio will also get a new version of LG’s own UI layer, as well as a new feature called kwiknote that allows users to access the note app from any screen. Furthermore, the Optimus Vu will finally prove its big-ass screen is worth something, with LG promising to enable users to run two apps side-by-side on its screen. Pretty neat and when you think about it, something Samsung Galaxy Note could use just as well.

Unfortunately, LG “forgot” to mention any carrier-specific versions, so it’s not like all Optimus LTE, LTE Tag and Vu owners will be affected at this time. Then again, now that the software is ready, we think the rest of the world won’t be waiting much longer. We’ll see…
