As spotted by Droid-Life, the ship date for Verizon’s Galaxy S III has slipped a day to July 10th. When pre-orders first went live earlier this month, the handset had an estimated ship date of July 9th. Now, the pre-order page lists July 10th as the date handsets will start shipping to customers.
A one day delay isn’t a big deal to most people, but the S III is one of the most highly anticipated handsets thus far this year. Early adopters anxious to get their hands on the big and beautiful phone will be slightly disappointed they will have to wait one more day.
Verizon hasn’t announced when it will begin selling the handset in stores, but, based on these estimated shipping dates, we would expect to see the handset debut sometime around the 12th. T-Mobile and Sprint are also carrying the Galaxy S III and will begin selling it on June 21st. Regional carrier US Cellular will kick off its sales in mid-July. Like Verizon, AT&T has not given us a solid availability date.
