It seems Sony is working on a successor to its Tablet S device or at least a new FCC filing suggests so. It’s little known about the tablet model number SGPT1211 except that it’s currently being tested by the government paid engineers. If we had to guess, that device gotta have more horse-power under the hood (like a quad-core processor) but no one can tell us anything about its size and looks. Will Sony keep using the magazine-fold-like design or will rather take a more “classical” route?
On the other hand, as far as we (don’t) know, the SGPT1211 may not be an Android tablet at all. Sony may actually join the Windows 8 space with a tablet of its own. It’s really hard to tell from little information we got, leaving us to wait and see how things are unfolding from here. If we catch some new information, you’ll be the first to know. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
