Rebtel brings its VoIP app to Windows Phone

Rebtel, which calls itself the world’s second largest mobile VoIP company (after Skype) unveiled its Windows Phone app, allowing folks with smartphones running Microsoft’s mobile platform to talk and text for less. Available as a free download from the Marketplace, the application offers rates that are up to 98% lower than an average operator’s, and up to 60% lower than current Skype Out rates. Moreover, international SMS is also cheaper with Rebtel promising to deliver average cost savings of up to 60% versus your regular operator.

As for the app’s functionality, it can integrate with your existing Address Book, automatically displaying current Rebtel rates to all your contacts while grouping the ones with international numbers to give you a clear view of which ones you can call for less. Pretty neat and definitely a nice to have addition to your toolkit, especially if you often call and/or text international numbers.
