While most of us were shocked to learn what happened in Colorado at the Batman premiere, we still want to watch the movie. And what do you know – we at IntoMobile are not alone eagerly waiting to get our tickets. According to Fandango, people are flocking in numbers to see the next (and last) installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. In fact, the popular movie ticketing destination says that Batman has beaten The Avengers and it’s well on track to become one of Fandango’s top-selling movies of all time.

At one point, “The Dark Knight Rises” accounted for massive 91% of daily ticket sales at Fandango, selling out coast-to-coast from big cities like New York and Los Angeles, to smaller towns like Sunrise, Florida to Puyallup, Washington. At the same time, the film also promises to be one of Fandango’s all-time top mobile ticket-sellers, with nearly 30% of the site’s fans using Fandango’s mobile site and apps to buy their tickets in advance…

Yeah, it’s not exactly a mobile-related story, but Fandango does have a pretty cool mobile app, which you should try out. And besides – it’s a slow news day thus far… as I’m sure you can tell.
