Sony is getting ready to launch an Xperia tablet. We first got word of this a week ago, when details began to surface on XDA developers. Well, more information along with pics have leaked from the same spot again. Similar to the Tablet S, this new device will rock the same curved design that resembles a folded book or piece of paper, and it will keep the same 9.4-inch display.
The device will run Android 4.0 or higher, and the body will be much thinner compared to the 10.1 mm thickness on the previous model. Furthermore, you can expect to see more enhanced features like a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1 MP front-facing camera, and an 8MP rear camera.
Lastly, the new Sony tablet is rumored to retail for $449.99, $549.99, and $649.99 in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB variants. Judging from the picture above and the ones down below, Sony seems to have made tremendous strides in improving the look of its next tablet. And we wouldn’t be at all surprised if the feel of the slate has changed as well. It remains to be seen if the folded back look takes this time around, because god knows it didn’t last year. No word on when this thing will launch, so stay tuned for the latest.
