Today Virgin Mobile customers get themselves another option to choose from, as the Kyocera Rise is now available for the cheap price of $99. The Kyocera landed on Sprint first, now it’s Virgin Mobile’s turn. Costing under a bill ($100), the phone comes with what you should expect, and that’s some low-level features. Check out this quick overview of the specs.

  • Touch slider with QWERTY Keyboard and a 3.5” HVGA LCD touchscreen
  • Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor
  • Google Play for access to over 600,000 apps
  • 3.2MP Camera, LED Flash and Video Capture
  • microSD Card Slot – supports up to 32GB
  • Swype for rapid text entry
  • Eco Mode for better battery management
  • Stereo Bluetooth

Yeah, I know. It’s nothing special, but a handset with a keyboard for less than $100 is the perfect device to buy for your grandmother, or a younger family member. Virgin Mobile along with other retailers are jamming through as many cheap products it can for the back to school season. For those of you out there interested you can head over here at Virgin Mobile to buy the phone, as it’s available for purchase right now.

Anyone on Virgin Mobile thinking of picking up the Kyocera Rise?
