LG has officially announced the global rollout of its phone/tablet device – Optimus Vu, which will start selling in select markets of Europe, Asia, Middle East/Africa and Latin America in September. However, unlike the Korean version which rocks Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon S4 SoC, the newly announced Vu will ship with NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 CPU on board. Rest of the specs are unchanged and include a 5-inch 4:3 ratio IPS display with XGA (1024×768 pixels) resolution, 8GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing one, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and so on.

Price was not unveiled though we’re sure LG will ask a premium for its phablet, which competes with Samsung’s Galaxy Note…
