HTC Accord (8X) with Verizon branding shown in leaked photo

Tomorrow HTC is expected to announce a few phones, including a handset that’s codenamed the Accord. We’ve known about this device for some time, as leaked information scattered all over the Internet. The Accord (or 8X) is speculated to having a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, an 8 megapixel camera and a 4.3-inch HD display, all powered by Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8.

Well, if you take a look at the leaked image above, you’ll clearly see the smartphone branded with Verizon and rocking the carrier’s 4G LTE network (it’s a better pic over at phoneArena). The photo confirms that the device will carry Windows Phone 8, which means we can also expect a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood. We also get the impression that the phone will not carry a microSD card slot, which kind of blows.

It’s kind of weird that HTC chose to go with a Nokia Lumia-ish look, instead of opting to go with something more creative, like its One line of Android phones. Anyhoo, many believe the Taiwanese based manufacturer will announce more than one Windows Phone 8 device at its event tomorrow. We’ll be looking to see if the company has any unique features that is exclusive to its line of phones, much like you’ll see with Nokia’s Lumia handsets.

If you want to keep your eyes and ears peeled to whatever HTC announces, then make sure you stay tuned as the device more than likely will get official tomorrow, along a couple of other Windows Phone 8 offerings. The HTC event begins at 11:00 AM EST, and of course, we’ll be tracking the latest here on IntoMobile.
