Flexible touchscreen will remain technology of the future with Samsung delaying its production plans. Apparently the Korean company had problems with yields and will most likely start making these screens at some point next year.

One industry official told DDaily that there’s still chance we see the first devices with flexible AMOLED touchscreens appearing in the first half of 2013 presuming Samsung manages to fix things before or in early 2013. That sounds kinda too optimistic though you never know. We would definitely like to see something like that introduced in the Galaxy S IV.

Thus far, Sammy was able to produce only a few test units which impressed us (and the whole industry for that matter) though it looks like making a single screen and hundreds of thousands are two different matters. We’ll be following this story and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned in the meantime, k?
