Alcatel Windows Phone 7.8 device caught in the wild

Alcatel Windows Phone 7.8 device

Looks like Alcatel is preparing to jump into the Windows Phone game with a low-to-mid end device of its own. The phone pictured above, which will most likely get the “One Touch something” name, is said to come with Windows Phone 7.5 and will be upgradable to version 7.8.

Specs wise, we’re hearing it will pack Qualcomm’s single-core MSM7227A chip clocked at 1GHz, 512MB of RAM, 4-inch screen, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, VGA front-facing one, 1500mAh battery and 4GB of internal storage. As for the size, Alcatel’s baby measures 124.2×64.2×10.75 mm. Finally, the price and availability info – the phone will hit Russia (and we guess some other markets) with a price tag of 7,990 rubles, which translates into $256. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear something new on this. In the meantime, check out few additional shots of the first Alcatel Windows Phone device…
