Sony Xperia Tablet S sales to resume from mid-November

Some 20 days ago, we’ve told you about the problem Sony had with its new Xperia Tablet S. The Japanese company suspended sales after discovering a manufacturing defect on some units that allowed water to breach the tablet’s water-resistant chassis. The problem was in a minor space between the display panel and the back of the product.

Sony is currently offering a free inspection and repair service in many markets, inviting those who bought the Xperia Tablet S to get it fixed for free. The tablet sales — with this problem fixed — are expected to continue from mid-November. Hopefully, the company will also unveil some price cutting initiative now that the Nexus 10 has been launched. We’ll let you know how that goes…
