Looks like those of you waiting to upgrade your Windows Phone Mango (7.5) devices will have to wait a little longer. Apparently, Microsoft will launch Windows Phone 7.8 at a later date.
The information comes from the Chinese website WPDang, which claims that Windows Phone 7.8 will be released a few weeks after the Windows Phone 8 debut, initially showing up pre-loaded on new low-end devices. Afterward, OEMs will be pushing out updates to older phones.
Among the affected smartphones are such models as Nokia Lumia 800 and Lumia 900, HTC Titan and Fujitsu IS12T, as well as many others. Hopefully, OEMs and operators will make sure you don’t wait forever to get back into the “Windows Phone game.”
