With Chinese people getting richer, they want better phones. Entry-level smartphones still sell in volumes in the world’s most populous country but there is a growing number of folks looking for better devices.
HTC knows that and as it’s looking to find the way back to profitability, it prepares to launch its high-end DLX smartphone (aka Droid DNA) in China. Again, it’s a top-of-the-line device with specs that include a 5-inch 1080p full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and so on and on.
The rumor says it that the DLX will be unveiled in China on December 6th, and users will be able to pick between black, brown and white versions. In addition, at the same date the Taiwanese company may also announce two of its Window Phone 8 devices, HTC 8S and HTC 8X, giving yet another option to the Chinese consumer. We’ll see whether this will help HTC get back on its feet…
