Asus did say that its brand new PadFone 2 will be launched in Europe by the end of the year, and one of the first countries to get it is Germany. The tablet-smartphone combo will be released in the country on December 1st, with users being able to choose between 32 and 64 GB versions. Off-contract, the former could be yours for 799 EUR, while the latter will sell for 100 EUR more. Want to get it for less with a carrier contract? E-plus is your friend and it will offer Asus’ star device for free on plans starting at 34 EUR per month.
If you’ve been living under a rock you should know that PadFone 2 is a unique smartphone with a tablet shell. Specs wise, it rocks Qualcomm’s powerful quad-core processor (Snapdragon S4 Pro), 2GB of RAM, 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, 8-megapixel rear camera, front-facing one, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, GPS and so on and on. And yes, we love it a lot and can nothing but envy those lucky Germans.
