As expected, Samsung ATIV S is now available in Canada, with all three major carriers in the country offering the fancy Windows Phone 8 device from their sites — we’re not sure whether stores have them as well. One of the best Windows Phones ever made (if not the best) from Rogers, Bell and Telus. Bear in mind that “quantities are limited” so if you want to jump on Microsoft’s bandwagon in style, you better act quickly.

Again, the ATIV S is like the Galaxy S III running Windows Phone 8. It comes with a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, LTE connectivity support (in addition to 3G and Wi-Fi), 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.9-megapixel front-facing one, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded with microSD cards. Prices range from $29.99 to $99.99 on a 3-year contract, and you can also get the phone sans any strings attached for $599.99-$650. Kinda steep but then again, you don’t have to spend a single dime afterwards. ;)

Cool for Canadians but what about the rest of the world? The Ativ S is the best Windows Phone 8 out there and I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to try it out.

I give Samsung a hardy thumbs up for making a really great Windows 8 smart phone.
Folks some Windows 8 smart phones are no joke. They are out and out top notch smart phones with up to date technology like this one. I am glad that Windows 8 smart phones
take the Microsoft smart phones to the Next level. More apps are coming to it everyday and The Microsoft Windows smart phone team are adding features to it and upgrading it’s
performance so thast if a person buys a windows smart phones you wont buy a lemon.
the previous Windows smart are going Windows 7.8 and will look like windows 8 smart phones. it seems that Microsoft and Nokia and others will continue manufacture windows 7.8 smart phones as budget windows smart phones. that means the people who bought windows 7 smart phones that cannot be upgraded to Windows 8 will still have a a smart phone that will get updates and new APPs. I think that will make them happy.
